WELCOME TO NORFOLK GRAVESTONE INSCRIPTIONS 

A few years ago I started researching my family history and during this time I found it necessary to start looking around the church yards of Norfolk to find some of my ancestors.

While searching I noticed some of the monuments were very hard to read which led me to believe there was a necessity to record these digitally before it was too late.

There are absolutely hundreds of these monuments in church yards that are deteriorating at an alarming rate, we need to transcribe them now before they are lost forever.

I do hope you'll find this website to be a useful place to start  researching your ancestors who lived here in Norfolk? Most of the records are pre 1900's and hopefully this will help some of you in your efforts to trace a few of your family members?
